Notes
Sunny and clear skies over the last 3 days. Very minimal ice on the south side of the river's edge.
Saw two frogs (much earlier than normal) in one of our large thawed ponds (the other is still frozen over). Appears to be no winter kill-off this year.
6 Migratory Hooded Mergansers, 4 Wood Ducks, and 4 Mallards present over the last week. They all move north out of our coniferous zone in a few weeks.
Canada Geese have returned and never really left on the open sections well down river !!! LOTS of Canada Geese moving north over us over the last week.
