Crooked Horn Farm Wetland

Shallow wetland

British Columbia, Canada

The water in the crooked horn farm wetland is still. The bottom of the wetland is very soft and sinks easily, this could be a potential danger and must be considered when testing water. This site is on the private land of the crooked horn farm, it is part of a wetland restoration project initiated by the slocan river streamkeepers. The goal of this wildlife enhancement project is to create habitat for species including amphibians, painted turtles, bats and birds. Bat and bird houses have been added to the site within the last four years.
