The water moves Eastward slowly. It is a boating recreational area just above voyageur Provincial Park.

View all photosI have never seen the ice take so long to let go. The river opened up down the centre n the 13th but the shore ice lasted another three weeks. The flooding below the dam started on the 18th of April.
The water levels in the reservoir above the dam did not come back to normal levels until the 3rd of July.
