Sunny, warm and calm day with no rain in past 24 hours. Most of the ice was off the creek…would say less than 1/4 remaining in spots. Lots of songbirds around and geese heard in the distance out in the Bay.
Sunny day with a few thin clouds and calm. Bit of current in the stream. No wildlife around at all. Some green algae and weeds as expected here.
Overcast and raining steadily all day, with a few more MM having come overnight. Flock of Canada Geese flew overhead. Lots of weeks and lily pads with very low water level making boat launching nearly impossible, other than canoes & kayaks.
Partly cloudy with sunny breaks and gusty winds. About 18 Mm rainfall in past 24 hours with thunderstorm activity…dumped 14 Mm within 30 mins this morning! Some small green frogs hopping around….tons of lily pads and very heavily weeded and murky water. So low that only kayaks & canoes can be launched from here now I would think.

Sunny with some distant clouds and very windy. Bit of rain overnight and this AM. Songbirds can be heard in the trees nearby. A few turtles seen sunning themselves on the logs in the stream.
No rain in past 24 hours. Sunny and bit windy today. 3 white swans and a flock of Canada Geese seen flying overhead and rooster crowing in the house nearby. 2 beaver lodges in the river here and think there could be their dam inside the culvert which is causing the levels to be so low here now considering the snow melt we’ve had.
On our walk this morning, we noticed what appears to be beaver lodges being built up in 4 spots along the creek where we test. Water levels are low but water still running and we couldn’t see where a dam might be. Will be interested in keeping an eye on this over the coming months to see what develops.
