Quiet - not much human activity or wildlife.
Shadfly carcasses floating in middle of river
Ice off
Ice is on this morning. It finally froze right across the river last night with the colder temperatures. I saw 7 deer on the ice on the Ontario side (slightly down river from Baskin’s Beach). One was lying down resting. I think it had slipped and fallen. It seemed a bit wobbly when it got up.
Very quiet on river - only a couple of geese. A few frogs on shore.
Sailboats, motor boats, Canada Geese
Lots of Canada geese and a family with 7 goslings, lots of terns, one loon
Big swells on the river
Terns, turkey vulture
Ice fully off this morning between Luskville, QC and Baskin’s Beach, ON
Scaups and Goldeneyes back
Thousands of Canada Geese migrating through the past few days.
Lots of debris - grass, algae, plastic toys, log, dead fish
