Water very high for this time of the year. Not much of Allen Island above water. Terns competing for nesting space.

rainy day - a few Canada geese feathers on the water - not much else going on
ospreys and terns are back at Allen Island
Very calm water early in the morning. Ospreys are back. Someone destroyed their nest last fall and built a platform for them to rebuild on. Nest much smaller this year.
Water level still high. Up to retaining wall at home. Allen Island mostly under water.
River opened up this morning. Yesterday there was still ice most of the way across.
Lots of foam on water especially around 12-mile island
Some pollen still on water. Observed osprey bringing fish back to nest for baby osprey. Blue heron fishing. People swimming and recreational boating. Some snails in water (see photo).
