Notes

  • Sunny, mild and calm day with some rain during past 24 hours. Some pollen on surface near shoreline and lots of goose droppings on the grass. Red winged blackbirds, seagulls, other birds and a few butterflies seen. A single loon fishing not far from shore. Usual road traffic noise from highway 66 nearby.

  • Sunny warm evening with light winds. Many blackbirds to be seen and other birds heard in the area. Many insects....mostly mosquitoes of course ( this is northern Ontario after all ) . Highway noises from nearby traffic.

    This is the water supply for the city of Kirkland Lake and there is no boating, fishing, swimming or development on this lake. Test site is located just behind the health warning sign on a flat rock along the shoreline.
