The weather was cloudy with a slight breeze. The water level of the river has dropped over the summer.
No wind today. No rain for many days. Sunny. Lots of green algae bloom, weeds, bullrushes, lilly pads. Some fish jumping nearby.
I could see scum along the shoreline. The river was flowing upstream under the bridge. A group of people were fishing from a new dock. It had been sunny today and winds were light.
It was breezy and it had rained this morning. I saw a grey water snake on the river bank and two swans sunning themselves on a dock downstream from the bridge. I picked up one piece of garbage and put it in the garbage can.
It had just stopped raining when we took the water samples. The water was murky and we saw some algae along the shore. There was a bug and insect larva in the water sample. Two people were fishing at the bridge. We saw a pair of swans with their cygnets swimming upstream of where we were taking the water samples. There was not a strong wind yet the water was flowing upstream under the bridge.
Since the last water sample was taken at the Black River Bridge over 140 mm of rain fell in this area. Today was sunny but there was rain within the last 24 hours. There was a lot of garbage at the edge of the river which I picked up and placed in a garbage can.
The Secchi Depth was taken from the bridge instead of from the edge of the river bank.
The water was over the top of the gabion baskets at the site where we take the water samples.
Lovely spring day that is calm and no rain in the last 24 hours. Birds and frogs singing. A large white swan swimming upstream and the leaves are starting to come out.
Today was sunny and there was no rainfall over the last 24 hours. A school of minnows, geese and swans were observed. Some garbage at the water's edge was picked up and taken away to be disposed of.
