Notes
It was hot and sunny with occasional cloud cover and a slight breeze. People were out fishing and boating. I saw butterflies, wasps, and dragonflies. There were some birds fishing, and while I was gathering my samples, what appeared to be a Spotted Gar kept swimming up to me to see what I was doing. There were also some little fish swimming near the edge of the water, but I wasn’t sure of what they were.
The water was a bit lower than normal and there were dead fish along the edge of the water. It is unclear if they were discarded or washed up. The water did not smell bad, however the air did have a fishy smell, possibly due to the dead fish. There was some litter, but not a lot.
