View all photosTwo turtles and 20+ singing toads (thinking they're not frogs because of their bumps!) at a new testing site on southwest shoreline by bridge at the mouth of the creek. Green heron spotted further upstream. It swallowed a fish whole! (That's the blurry zoomed in picture, it was just too far away for phone to pick up.) Grackle nest in tree on southwest shore across from the turtles and toads, didn't get a photo of that. Common merganser (looks like a white-breasted loon) was swimming amongst mallards at the mouth of the creek opening up onto the lake. Scared mink (no pic of that) while walking path further south along eastern shore of peninsula into Lake Ontario toward Lakeside Promenade Park. Swan nest with eggs spotted along the lake.
