View all photosThis location was so muddy along the water's edge that it was like sinking in quick sand. (Thankfully, I was able to brace my foot on a log to remove my stuck boot.)
I covered bacterial testing at Leake County Water Park and Coal Bluff Park for Billy Mitchell this week.
RCARD results were faint in color for all (3) locations I observed.
Card counts were ten, eleven, and one for other coliforms and no E. Coli at LCWP.
River level has been 2-3 feet higher this week, possibly contributing to E. coli higher counts.

A Timber Rattlesnake was killed by park maintenance workers about 100 yards from water testing site.

River stage is quite high for this time of year due to above average rainfall.
