Trout Lake Creek

Ontario, Canada

The flow from this creek is from the Mountain Lake watershed and flows eastward into the Trout Lake area, where MCFN member resides, and occupies a 3rd generation trapline. The water is almost always flowing.
Flow data was captured in 2022 by N1 Environmental in an effort to ground truth rumors' that mine water was potentially making its way eastbound into Trout Lake. Results of this study demonstrated that trout lake was on the Mountain Lake Water Shed and not the Goudreau Lake Water Shed.

It was important to support MCFN member concerns, and sampling this location is a commitment to restore confidence from our membership that we are keeping a watchful eye for their best interests.
