Madawaska River

Off highway 60 in Whitney. Park at Mad Musher and walk down the stairs to the river. Fast flowing current with some small rapids, use caution when sampling. Location is also the put-in for paddlers portaging around the dam upstream. Stop in the restaurant and have a bite to eat and a beer. Good food.
