Tributary entering SE End of East Lake
Cherry Valley, Ontario, Canada
Slow moving creek that feeds into the SE end of East Lake in Cherry Valley. It is an area of marshland but water here is deep enough for a public boat launch and dock where we do our testing. It is known at the Lions Memorial Park. Water feeding this small creek / river comes from a great distance across the southern end of Prince Edward County, enter East Lake which then flows out into Lake Ontario via the Outlet River at Sandbanks Provincial Park at the western end of East Lake.

Sunny , calm evening. Minimal rainfall over past few weeks. Can hear lots of crickets chirping and many flying insects and waterbugs around. Picked up and recycled some paper and cardboard garbage people left alongside the docks.

Sunny day with light overcast . 4 mm rain in past 24 hours. Lake levels in PEC still very high and the dock where we walked out to take our tests is now under at least a foot of water. Got out as far as we could with our rubber boots. Saw lots of small minnows in the water, redwinged blackbirds seen and heard as well as many frogs & toads singing away. Fair bit of green algae growing along water bottom and wasn't able to see the disk at bottom this time.
Sunny and calm early evening. Had been about 3 MM rain overnight. Saw a hawk and many red - winged blackbirds and heard plenty of frogs, toads and crickets coming from the marshes. No fish in sight but a boat was leaving the launch area as we arrived and we chatted with the couple about what we were doing. Saw pop cans, beer bottle and some plastic garbage which we picked up to recycle properly.
