Overcast and lightly raining at times. Have had around 9 MM rain over past 24 hours in most areas here and more before that, after a long period with no rain at all.l Some seagulls moving around on the rocky shore, otherwise no other wildlife visible. Strong chop on the water despite their being not much wind at all this afternoon.

Sunny with a few clouds and calm winds. Less than 1 MM rainfall in past 24 hours. Water is very calm and lots of seagulls flying around and out in the lake. Few groups of people sitting along the beach. Spoke about Water Rangers with the summer student working at the front gate who is studying Environmental Science at Trent U, so thought she’d be keen to check out the website to see the data entered.

No rain in past 24 hours. Sunny with some clouds around and very windy, yet water surface here is calm in this more sheltered bay. Some seagulls , songbirds and woodpeckers around in the air and trees, along with the usual Lake Bugs this time of year.

Sunny, windy day with about 7 Mm rain in past 24 hours, after a very strong wind pattern yesterday. Flock of ducks out on the lake flew off when we came to test at the beach under the bluff. Few ducks remained behind to watch us :)

Thanks to Quinte Conservation for allowing me in today to do our water testing that hasn’t been done since July 19th due to the park being closed to the public since then and still closed now. Had about 15+ MM rainfall in past 24 hours. Overcast now. Some hawks & osprey soaring overhead in the skies, along with a passing transport plane from Trenton airbase doing practice runs. Otherwise peaceful and quiet. Picked up an empty water bottle at the bottom of the steps to the beach and took home for recycling.

No rain in past 24 hours but clouds today give some hope that we’ll get some along with thunderstorm activity. We need rain so badly in The County. No wildlife to be seen or heard due to all the people here along the beach and everywhere else, along with so much garbage left behind by thoughtless people. Conservation areas like this one used to be free but the past few years have parking charges applied due to having to pay others to clean up after selfish slobs!

No rain in past 24 hours. Sunny and windy day. Some songbirds and few flying insects around. Few people along the beach.

Lovely sunny day with medium winds. Calm water...few ducks out on it and some people sitting along the beach with their families.

Sunny & chilly with strong winds chopping up the water creating whitecaps & waves. Icicles along the cliff from the spray. Couldn’t do exact measurement of depth but took a fairly accurate estimate based on many other times here. Lake levels not at extreme levels of some recent years but early yet and spring rains have yet to happen. No birds or wildlife around that we could see or hear.

Less than 2 Mm rain in past 24 hours. Few small frogs along rocks and lots of people along the beach , which is more normal now that the lake has dropped back quite a bit from previous levels. Few monarch butterflies around.
