Calm, sunny. Lots of debris that had been around the water has been cleaned up. Water very clear, sandy bottom visible. Possibly a couple of small (maybe dead) macrophytes on the bottom, but otherwise no obvious signs of life.
Rain this morning. Windy. Mostly sunny. Pair of ducks nearby, some litter around (coffee cups, etc.)
Sunny. Intense heat wave just broke. Lots of algae and macrophytes (floating and submerged). Ducks nearby.
Very hot the last few days. Macrophyte growth seems to be increasing (in both height and density). Tallest plants are now almost at the surface of the water. Lots of particulates floating in the water column (~1-5 mm long, clearish).
Light winds, partly cloudy. Lots of tall, submergent macrophytes (not sure what they are).
Aquatic herbicide applied to the Harbour July 4th by the city. Ducks nearby.
Partly cloudy. Water continues to recede (slowly). Filamentous benthic green algae stuck to Secchi disk. Visible submergent macrophytes starting to appear - probably 2-4 per square metre.
Rain this morning and last night. Cloudy, fairly windy. Water still high. Ducks feeding nearby. Filamentous green algae got caught on Secchi disk - might be benthic algae.
Partly cloudy, rain in past 48 hrs. Water levels still high. No more midges or mayflies.
