View all photosDucks nearby. Sunny, no rain recently. Water still very high from heavy rains a few weeks ago. Some green algae present. Lots of marina/boating activity.
Huge amounts of rain in the last week. Regular sampling location flooded. Got as close as possible to the normal spot. Three ducks napping nearby.
Lots of garbage floating (plastic, styrofoam, etc.) along with thousands upon thousands of cases from chironomid pupae that have emerged into adults (see photo). Couple of Canada geese lurking nearby. Very sunny, unseasonably warm. Small amounts of clumped algae in water column, but water clarity still very good.
