Fishing year round: Pike, Walleye, Pickerel, and Lake Trout. Frequent beach closures from Cyanobacteria (blue/green algae) blooms. Large swamp at south east end of the lake, habitat for many native birds. this area can be accessed by the boardwalk near the treatment plant.

Beautiful sunny day out sampling on the Lake. No Algae notice yet, as seasonal blooms plague this lake.

Conditions calm, no cloud cover, sunny, 10:20 am

The purpose of this was to take sediment grab samples, monitor water quality and observe various aquatic organisms.
Equipment used: Eckman Grab Sampler
Presence of Zebra Mussels: Yes; numerous, various sizes, clumps attached to rocks and embedded into lake bottom(sediment)
Sediment grab observations: sandy/silty, dark brown sludge, fine particles, leaf matter.
Benthic Invertebrates: 1 Sawbug, 1 Pouch Snail, 1 Orb Snail, 2 Amphiod, 2 Mayfly, 3 Midge Larva, 5 Caddis Fly, 53 Zebra Mussels

1.Unknown minnow with lice, 2. Blue Gill, 3. Yellow Perch and its belly/gills 4. Silver Shiner
