View all photosI didn’t realize how tall/thick the plants would get at this location but it’s become pretty unsafe to continue testing in my opinion. The grasses/sedges are taller than me now, unable to see the ground, hard to collect samples from the shore.
Tons of insects; spiders, ants, leafhoppers, dragonflies.

The plants on land and in the water are exploding in growth. The water is deeper and darker than last time. Some water fowl feces can be seen.

- Garlic Mustard, lots of aquatic plants in the water

- Frog (swam away before could identify)

- Red-Winged Blackbird

- Barn Swallow
- Blue Jay
- Song Sparrow
- Chickadee’s in the Cedars in the distance
- Redwing Blackbirds somewhere nearby
- Geese poop right at the site
- Small flies hovering around water
