About

I have collected data from Lily Cache Creek, Plainfield IL since 1998 with Illinois RiverWatch; two sites, one at Four Seasons Baseball Fields West and the other at Van Horn Woods. I have also performed a more detailed study for Colorado State University at the U.S. Army Joliet Training Center, Jackson Creek, in 2007. I have my MA from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in Animal Behavior and Wildlife Conservation. I am retired from Joliet Junior College after 29 years, but teaching as an adjunct currently; here I have taught undergraduate research in stream ecology since 2014. I have had students present at conferences, notably National Conference of Undergraduate Research; and publish in NCUR Proceedings. I feel a special attachment to Lily Cache Creek, and marvel at the world that the organisms I study live in.
