About

Since 2002, I have lived and played on Mississippi Lake with my husband and two boys. I have been a very active board member of the Mississippi Lakes Association since 2007, where I have been the Water Quality & Lake Steward and co-chair of the Environment Committee, conducting water quality sampling for both the Lake Partners Program, OFAH Invasive Species Program and Watershed Watch for Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority.
I currently work for Watersheds Canada as the Lake Stewardship Coordinator.
In September of 2016, my husband and I purchased a cottage on Skully Lake in Greater Madawaska Township and look forward sampling and protecting it as well.

Training

I studied Natural Resource Management at Guelph University and Ecosystem Management at Sir Sandford Fleming College in Lindsay. I was by Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority for 6 years directly after graduation, as a Water Quality Technician and Watershed Monitoring Supervisor. Liaising with other agencies, partners and lake stewards to promote and educate them on environmental practices is my passion.

It is a beautiful thing when a career and passion come together.
