About

We collect monthly water samples from the River Avon, which is about 2.5 miles upstream from Stratford upon Avon.
Our location is about 2.5 miles downstream of the nearest sewage treatment plan at Wellesbourne and it is a combined sewage and surface water plant.
The sewage treatment plant has spilled untreated sewage in to the river Dene, which feeds directly in to the Avon. The plant has spilled the equivalent of 5.5months continuously in the period March 2024 to March 2025.
