About
I will collect samples from the Tawatinaw River, a tributary of the Athabasca River. The Tawatinaw enters the Athabasca just a short distance from my house.
The Tawatinaw watershed is a biodiverse and relatively intact Boreal Mixed Wood biome. I think it will be valuable to compare the data from the Tawatinaw with similar but degraded rivers/watersheds in the Athabasca watershed.
Water is life. Fresh water is life for humans and the ecosystems we depend on. Protecting and improving the quality of our freshwater resources is crucial for a healthy future for all.
Training
Was formerly employed at a watershed council and have a good working knowledge of watersheds, the water cycle and related subjects.
