Sampling occurs in the reservoir within Earl Rowe P.P., (5 minutes northwest of Alliston, ON). This reservoir is a result of damming the Boyne River in the early 1960's.
I deliver recreational Adaptive Paddling Programs (canoe & kayak) for Abilities in Motion, AIM, throughout June through September . Our clients are individuals with varying disabilities coming from four organizational members. In order to engage some of our clients in citizen science, as well as, become more familiar with the quality of water in the reservoir.

Training

I am a retired high school Environmental Science teacher who engaged both Gr. 10 & 12 students in both monitoring water quality in local streams. The students were also involved in stream rehabilitation such as planting trees, stabilizing stream banks to minimize erosion, and creating suitable spawning and shelter areas for migrating rainbow trout.
