I collect samples of our local creeks before they enter our town, in the middle of town and after they leave our town to help make sure we are keeping them clean. I have been interested in creeks and streams since I was a kid, and I grew up with these same waterways in this same town. I LOVE to kayak and have been in the boat in Northern Illinois (even in winter)at least once per month, every month for twelve years. It doesn't sound like a lot to people who live near water, but winter is tricky around here.

I joined the Winter Chloride Watchers after completing training in Stream Survey training Rockford IL.
