The air temperature was 29C but felt like 36C!

I took my water sample from an area shaded by a large maple so the river might have been even warmer than 26.4C. The water was moving quite well which was weird since there was no wind whatsoever and I've never witnessed this area of water really "move". It is usually calm.
There were plenty of red-winged blackbirds chatting in the nearby tall grasses.
