View all photosSaw many northern water snakes of all sizes, and a painted turtle.
Also saw a couple of mute swans in the distance with a clutch of little cygnets - couldn't determine how many.
Heard and saw many blue jays, and American robins, as well as a great blue heron.
Fish species included rock bass, pumpkinseed and bluegill sunfish, yellow perch, and northern pike.
Plants seen were cattails, Richardsons pondweed, tape grass, yellow pondlilies, and algae.
