There was some scum but only where branches were stuck across the current allowing the scum to accumulate. not very much

Water levels high (not far from bankful). recent signs of flooding on the watermeadow.

Not far from topping the river bank (where it overflows into the flood plain after sustained heavy rainfall periods)

water very slow moving due to low levels. a 'flim' 'scum' 'algae' had formed across the surface. Not seen it before (been here 16 years - but not to say that might not have noticed it before). Green / yellow tinge in colour. It wasn't very substantial and easily broken up. heard a fish rise.
