consistent brownish turbidity
two trees (fir & alder) blown down away from creekside caused by high winds with wetter ground.
Increased flow makes it difficult to observe any possible spawning salmon >>> this 'Run' is probably over.
Nice to see this 2nd set of spawners this week. The Nov.3rd sightings have 'aged' w/ fungi etc. and not to be seen.
Creek water levels are a welcome sight after alternating days/nights of rainfall.
Both coho and sea-run cutthroat trout are making their way up the Colquitz R. system from Portage Inlet.

Water levels rising with this first touch of rain. With this there is some discoloration but not sedimented.
still frisky fry in the pool downstream of bridge
build up of spawning gravel very prevalent at low water.
Luck in timing of this observation .... Water disturbed by thrashing Otter .... definitely feeding on something in the waterway above the riffle!
Rare to see the creek muddy like this ... now we know about this temporary sedimentation.
