Algae, lily pads, weeds along the side of the channel. Water brown with suspended mud.

Water brown, muddy, smell of gas and gas film on the water. Two 2-inch minnows near the surface. Redwing blackbirds in bullrushes across the channel.

The resident informed me that seaweed removal boat had cleaned the channel out of algae and weeds which was almost grown over. They made about three passes up and down the channel to complete the task, he said.

Now there is a clear channel from the dock location where the test was done out to the water area by the Bayview marina.

The bottom wasn't visible. The water was dark brown and full of silt. There were clumps of bright green algae and weeds clumped together floating on the surface in rafts about 2 - 3 m across. See image.
