South of this peninsula the water is shallow with rocky substrate and has giant boulders resting within the waters. North of the peninsula the slope on the lake bottom changes making the water deep quickly in comparison to the south.

View all photosWhile paddling on Wolf Lake travelling south to Crab Lake there were encounters with Bald Eagle, Great Blue Heron, and Loon. At the camp site a snapping turtle was present along with an unknown water snake that was brown with yellow banding.
