Cree Lake is the largest lake which is entirely situated in Saskatchewan. It has about 550 islands and is very sandy. The geology is mainly sandstone on surface except for the southern part, there are also some diabase swarms. Generally though there is probably very little ph buffering which might explain the lower ph values
