We were unable to get a secchi reading due to a much stronger current at our location. Water levels were down and, because we are in the head pond of the dam more water was running through creating more current.
We also noticed more weed growth in the area, possibly because of the lower water level and the recent hot weather.
A beautiful morning to be out on the water. Kayaks, canoes, power boats, fishing boats around.
Weather was mixed sun and cloud with a good breeze blowing. Had a light shower while testing. It had rained a bit earlier in the day. One boat was out enjoying the river, too.
Mostly sunny with a light breeze. Kayakers were enjoying the water as well as a fisherman. There were seagulls and cormorants around.
a sunny, breezy day - perfect to be on the water. But no one else was out!
We had our grandchildren (9 and 6) with us helping do the testing.
Clear and sunny with a brisk wind. Current stronger than normal as it was pulling the secchi disk. A new dead head was seen and a large stump we hadn't noticed before. Water level was consistent with this time of the year.
There was quite a bit of recreational boating today and children next door in swimming and really enjoying themselves!.
