Murray Lake (North East)
Ontario, Canada
This section of Murray Lake is connected via creek at the Northeastern portion of the lake, behind the Murray Lake Cabins Business. It is located and barely visible from the highway, but there is a trail cut and flagged to the sampling location. The exact sample location was taken from a rocky point, which is easily distinguishable on google earth or other satellite imagery.

View all photosThere is a need to retrieve further information from multiple locations on Murray Lake as this water source is large and a significant lake in the area. This lake is host to traditional trapping by MCFN members. There exists a trapping cabin on the North Side of the Lake called "The Souliere Camp".
Members of the Missanabie Cree First Nation frequent this location often. Murray Lake is accessible from the western side via Mc Murty Lake at the south end of Dog Lake, just before Stoney Portage.
