- A few lily pads were present, which were not there last sampling day
- The swans have moved out of their nest
- There were swallows and red-winged black birds
- While none were seen, frog calls were hears
- There are many phragmites present at this site

- Public boardwalk area within conservation park, with many people walking, some with dogs
- Lots of plant life, both aquatic (phragmites) and terrestrial
- Lots of birds, including a swan nest further down the boardwalk from the sampling site
- Some large rocks along shoreline that seem to be placed there; they may have possibly been added as an erosion control measure
