View all photosre phosphates - using a new brand of test for the first time - colour seemed more yellow than anything else which didn't really match anything on the scale. recorded a 0.
First time ever seeming water fleas in the sample cup. pond had very active insect life - many pond skaters, midges flying low over water.
Lots of people out fishing - some local kids were at the test spot and reported seeing a dead fish away near the boathouse (same body of water but maybe 800 meters away). I've never seen a fish in the water.
Seen: swan, Canadian geese, robin, 2x cormorant, male mallard, tree creeper, crow
heard but not seen - great tits, robins, blue tits
plants: lazula nivea has recently flowered.
not as busy with people

Seen: Long tailed tit, Mandarin duck, Mallard
Other: Member of public mentioned a kingfisher has been seen several days in a row recently, but not sighted today.
no wildlife in the immediate location at all. no insects at all.
Heron on other side of lake. Could hear (but not see) blue tits. no ducks
Nearby plant species: oak, birch, cherry, bramble. lots of leaf litter in water.
outflow nearby active and flowing, water looked clear.
