Sunny and windy day with no rain in past 24 hours. Just a few clouds forming. Butterflies, mosquitoes, dragonflies, water bugs, songbirds ,minnows and a very interesting multi-coloured green/brown frog or toad that sat still the entire time I was testing right next to it.

Sunny with partly cloudy overcast sky. No rain in past 24 hours. Mosquitoes active now…water bugs and many tingly black tadpoles visible swimming in the water near shore. Good sign for frog and toad populations here in the pond.

Mostly sunny with a few clouds around and calm winds. No rain in past 24 hours. No birds seen or heard right now but some water bugs seen in the pond. Most ice off and what’s left is very thin and will be gone very soon. No problem testing at our usual spot.

Sunny and calm day with about 4 MM rainfall in the area over past 24 hours. 2 workers cleaning out the leaves and clutter that had been clogging the drain where it flows from the pond to the stream. Maybe this will help with the green algae in the water that seems more than usual. Evidence of beaver activity in fallen trees, although their damn has gone now and lodge too.

Sunny day with some high clouds and winds building up to be moderately strong. No rain in past 24 hours. Pair of ducks flew over and some songbirds heard in the distance. Green algae bloom clusters floating around on the surface of the pond in many places. Beavers keeping the levels up in spite of our recent month with little to no rainfall.

Overcast with some sunny breaks and quite windy. Had around 8 MM rainfall over past 24 hours. Some songbirds around and water bugs on the pond surface. Beavers have been busy with their dam at the end of the pond where the stream flows out, and the higher water levels since last month show the results of their efforts.
