View all photosGrassy path down bank to rocky shoreline around wetland east of the mouth of Mimico Creek. Brown murky water. Can not see bottom easily. Some plastic bags in the goo. Farmers market in the parking lot on the west side of the creek. Many, many birds today. On the right, geese swimming close by (one making honking sounds). On the left, one magestic great blue heron. An egret in position straight ahead across the pond sticking out in bright white. Seaguls flying above, and cormorants on their stoops. The water continues to be the shallowest all year. The heron is practically in the middle of the pond. Why do I test? I test to check out the birds and wildlife, and watch the water levels ebb and flow. To breathe in fresh air. To collect and share water data. To get outside. Nothing quite does the same to clear the mind.
