Spring runoff Pond

This small spring runoff pond is located around the point on the north shore of Cawaja Beach, near the Walker Road pathway. Shallow and stagnant, it contains E. coli and has no current in summer. The soft bottom sediment is easily disturbed, so use caution during testing—collect samples gently from the surface or mid-depth for accurate results. Water is extremely cold.
