View all photosRaining lightly as we tested. Overcast and calm winds. Lots of assorted birds...bluejays, chickadees, in the trees and a loon on the water. Chipmunks, squirrels and a black grass snake around the cottage. Saw 2 young deer along the road as we drove in and a pheasant. Weeds in the water along the shoreline.
Sunny and calm day. On this south side of the point on Sand Lake , just a short distance from the north side test location, the water is much different. Lots of weeds along shore , chopped up from the boat traffic along Rideau Canal system where the locks are nearby to the west. Algae bloom evident too. Small fish ( bass ? ) swimming by after we tested. Chipmunks, squirrels, and assorted birds all around in the woods ....bluejays, woodpeckers, finches, chickadees.
