There are several ponds at the top of the mountain and many locations where water once was but has now dried up. Some snow was also observed at the top of the mountain.
Members of our party sighted a white-tailed ptarmigan, an alpine chicken-like bird, that is on the "Blue List" as vulnerable to declines. Good news, there were also chicks!!
