Overcast with no rain in past 24 hours. Lots of people fishing off the docks. Garbage in the water and a few small dead sunfish too. Some seagulls in the area. Lots of green algae and weeds in the water.
No rain in past 24 hrs. Dock closed off so couldn’t test at usual location , so used the average water level for our test today since it appears to be as we would expect. Water fairly clear and some algae accumulated alongside the pier but not too bad yet. Lots of people all around the area today...seagulls too.
Overcast & windy with some rainfall overnight. Lots of Canada Geese & seagulls on the lake and flying around. Fishermen along the docks and some weeds as always here.
Lots of slimy green algae bloom all around harbour and weeds under the surface. Lots of fishing from the docks and many people around the downtown area for the annual RibFest.
Bit overcast tonight and calm winds. No rain fall in past 24 hours. Lots of people on the docks fishing and boats in the harbour and at the docks. Big sections of green algae floating out further in the water off the dock area .
Quite a lot of rain over past 24 hrs. Overcast with calm wind and water. Lots of people fishing along the dock today.
No rain past 24 hours. Sun setting, clear night with calm winds. Lots of ducks on the water and people fishing. Dead fish floating along side the dock. Very heavy weeds, and garbage in the water along the docks and shore. Spoke with a Mom & her young son who were interested in what I was doing while the father fished. Gave them card to direct them to Water Rangers site to learn more.
No rainfall in past 24 hours. Sunny today with brisk wind but not too much chop on the lake. Few seagulls flying around as well as 2 remote control aircraft which perhaps is keeping some birds away now. Lots of green algae bloom on the surface along the docks and heavy weeds under the water, but surprisingly the secchi disc was still visible on the bottom in spite of the weeds. Warnings up along the beach and park area about dangers of blue algae conditions being prevalent here in summer time.
Sunny and mild night.....no rainfall in past 24 hours. About 8-10 people fishing at the end of the dock during the time I was there. Spoke with several of them about Water Rangers and the tests we were doing and gave them a card to check out the site. They were interested in the results and condition of the lake and other places where they fish and live. Caught a catfish but they wanted perch. Said the fishing hasn’t been very good and with conductivity over 500 last fall and now, this might explain some of the reasons why?
