Boat launch area with long dock and parking facilities, walking trails, benches. Lake levels are highest since 1918 and much of the trails are under water but the dock is still above the water line.

View all photosOvercast with some rain off and on this morning and about 8 MM over past 24 hrs. Just a few seagulls around.
Mostly sunny with some clouds around and no rain in past 24 hours. Swans, Canada Geese, cormorants and seagulls seen on the lake and in the air. Green algae floating on the surface. Spoke with some boaters/fishermen and a jet skier about our Water Rangers testing and gave them some info to follow up on the website if they wish. Comments about the low lake levels this year ....the boater had hit a rock that was usually never an issue before.
Spitting rain now with stronger wind gusts and several MM rainfall over past few hours. No birds or wildlife around now. Water very choppy.
Noticed that the summer dock is in place so did just the depth measurement and secchi from the end of the dock, since last time we tested here couldn’t do it from where normally done.
Sunny calm day with a few MM rainfall overnight in the region. Some Canada Geese, seagulls, songbirds and a loon out on the lake today. Summer dock not installed yet so depth measurement taken from the winter pier so won’t be as deep as normally shown when testing from end of the summer dock.
Sky has cleared to become mostly sunny with just some clouds remaining. Group of young people on the pier nearby. Only a few swans out on the lake where I could see them from the end of the dock. Construction on the road nearby has been ongoing since spring/summer.
Overcast and calm day with just a small bit of rainfall in past 24 hrs. Seagulls, ducks, swans, cormorants, herons and Canada Geese on the lake .
Partly cloudy with dark skies showing rain coming soon. ( Arrived just after we did our test ) Some swans, Canada Geese and seagulls around….also a few hornets.
Overcast and impending rain…..have had a decent amt of rain fall in Quinte area in past 24 hours. Single swan on the water, no other wildlife seen. 2 fishermen out in their boat not far from the dock.
