Possible panax quinquefolius located. We confirmed location of stem attachment to differentiate it from baneberry and other common misidentifications. We are following its growth and waiting for the berries.

Significant flooding, rain for the past week, water is murky green and smells bad, no wildlife noted during observation time. Depth reading unattainable, precarious shoreline, boat use would exacerbate flooding issues in the area.
