View all photosIt was a beautiful day! The water was calm, and I heard people saying they were catching fish. There were lots of birds and a few insects. It was pretty chilly with a slight breeze.
Birds were catching fish, dragonflies and butterflies were flying around, and people were out fishing. The water was a little lower than usual.
There were people out fishing and playing in the water. Lots of water birds and insects! The water was nice and calm, and it was just a really nice day!
There were fishing birds and crows, butterflies, dragonflies, and wasps. There were some little bugs hopping and darting around the water’s edge that I didn’t recognize. A few people were out fishing and there wasn’t as much litter as there normally is. A very pretty sunny day!
The water had a lot of plant growth in and around it, and fish were breaching. I saw water birds, buzzards, and crows. I also saw butterflies and flies. People were out fishing and enjoying the calm water.
It was bright, sunny, and hot today. There was a slight breeze. The water looked a bit lower than last time.
The water didn’t stink like it did last time. There were still dead/discarded fish lying around and trash in and around the water.
There were people out fishing. I saw a good amount of fishing birds, goose poop and I’m assuming goose footprints. (I included a picture.) There were little fish swimming by and lots of bugs! I saw butterflies, flies, wasps, a cricket, and dragonflies.
There was trash floating off the dock in the river, and there were decomposing fish floating in the water and lying on the land. They looked discarded from previous fishers. There were butterflies feeding off the dead fish. The water smelled like dead fish too.
People were out fishing and boating. There was a variety of insects other than the butterflies. There were a few dragonflies and a handful of wasps.
One wasp kept trying to explore the trunk of my car for a place to nest, so my testing was interspersed with finding ways to frighten the wasp off without getting stung and a bit of jogging away from the car every time it swooped in my direction. The wasp that gave me the most exercise was some sort of thin waisted paper wasp, and there was also a small green wasp that I didn’t get a good look at before it flew away.
There were a lot of people out fishing and boating, and I saw a lot of water birds as well. The spillway had a strong flow and there were rapids. It was VERY windy, and the river looked higher than usual.
