These readings are the lowest I have ever recorded. A fortnight ago, Thames Water did fix two blockages in a private line, which their readings confirmed were affecting water in the Moselle coming into Lordship Rec. This incident and action taken by TW was reported to Rebecca at Thames 21. However, there appeared to be an old leak from the Agent B bottle for the ammonia reading, so I wasn't sure how reliable this was, but the subsequent low reading for phosphate backs up an improvement in water quality.
The ammonium reading was lower than it had been for a long time, so I was surprised when the phosphate reading was 2.50 flashing, (ie the highest it can show) and didn't show a similar drop to the ammonia.
The vegetation in the water at the side of the Moselle Brook almost always shows sewage fungus attached. That is why I noted Algae - attached above.
The Ammonia reading was 3.00 flashing: The Phosphates reading was 2.50 flashing. There was lots of sewage fungus evident clearing showing as white strands on vegetation
The display on the Hanna checker for phosphates showed a flashing reading of 2.50, ie higher than 2.50
The Hanna checkers were flashing, so the true reading is Ammonia 3.00 flashing and Phosphate 2.50 flashing.
