Duck with her ducklings swimming in the creek. The water flow was very slow, it looked like it wasn't moving. There was a layer of dandelion seeds. pH colour on the teststrip was darker than 8.4, however, 8.4 is the highest number on the teststrips. Therefore, pH is 8.4 mentioned in the observation.
It's a lil steep when we are going down the parking to the creek.
There are birds, There were wrappers and other kind of plastics by the creek.

The water level and the flow were really high. Observed two outflows merging into the creek, and they are in the culvert under the bridge. Not sure these outflows are of the road discharge or something else. lots of birds dropping around the monitoring location. Snow on the right bank hasn't melted yet but the left side is clear to monitor. Access to the location has a steep slope, so be careful. Park vehicle in the Tim Hortons parking lot and walk down to the monitoring location.
The snow is starting to melt, allowing more water to flow into the creek. Please wear snow boots and gloves while monitoring this location. The water is cloudy, but there are visible patches of foam and some natural debris along the edges. The banks are still covered in snow, but exposed areas reveal flattened vegetation from the winter.
Water Temperature is -3 but system is not allowing to enter the value below 0 therefore I have mentioned 0 degree Celsius.
Be very careful with the snow. Snowbanks started melting and water is floating under the snow surface so be very careful on the slope. Use a big grab stick to collect the water sample. Not recommended to solo. Ice on the water surface.
