Creek is diverted to right bank, flowing right
There is major overflow at this site. Beware without proper gear. Need to have poled to see ground under the water and saturated foliage. To properly sample, must be able to access water to the clearing area away from woody debris overflow. Do not access if not equipped or experienced after high water and cold temperatures! No way to safely access physical characteristics. Ice on left bank prevented access. The water was overflowing to the left and right bank, 3-5 meters in overflow at places. Numerous Woody debris, foam, and leaves.
Access creek on right side of bridge through willows. Avoid the private property. Watch out for a willow (salix) or alder( Alnus) in the eye. Shrubs are thick. Possible hard to access when foliage arrives.
Lots of vegetation in the water, woody debris and indication of decomposition. Willow( Salix) and Grey alder( Alnus) many sedges and grasses. Very wet area. There was overflow last week but the water is much lower. The house with the lawn in front was using a tractor by lawn. Adjacent to sample site.
Ice formation on left and right bank, can not see creek edge. Conditions changed since March 1st. There is unsafe overflow on both sides of bridge. Could not sample today.
Pictures taken of iced left and right bank. Water is visible compared to no visable water last week. Overflow on both sides of bank - wetted area is high. Can not measure due to ice.
