The water was higher than last week. Algae growth increasing.
Park/Dog Walking in the immediate surroundings.
Some overgrowth of plants on the trail to the monitoring site. Watch out for dogs off-leash. Make wildlife know you are in the area.
Everything is clear to monitor. The water level is higher than last week.
Sign of clay bank erosion upstream from the sampling location, beaver has built a new hut upstream on the opposite side where the channel is the deepest. Large pebbles beach, tripping/twisting ankle hazard. Evidence of water uses: Beaver hut.
There was a few dog droppings on the beach. This site would be a good candidate for a ecoli testing, and nitrates.
The water level was significantly low. Aquatic life present - Crayfish and plenty of tiny fishes. Dog walkers around.
Fish in the water. Massive thunderstorm a day before.
People picnicking nearby, and fishing. Frog near the bank.
People are fishing with their dog.
Watch out for beavers. New engineering activity form a beaver, possibly a family. Last week there was only few trees down and this week many of them are gone.
There is overflow on the path headed to the sample area. Be careful on the edge of the bank, slightly eroding, and water is moving very fast. Not advised to enter waterway. There were lots of shrubs cut down - about 25% of the riparian.
