Recent rainfall had the creek water level high. Observed ducks, as well as carp in the water.

Had about three quarters of an inch of rain two days ago. No snow events for two weeks. Above average temps all winter.

This is the second observation for this site. Chlorides came in slightly lower (~0.2 Qu or 26 PPM).

Mild Feb so far, with little precipitation. Mostly cloudy to sunny, on and off. Highs in the 40s-50s, lows in the mid 20s-high 30s. No precip for almost a week (2/8), and no actionable snow/ice event in over three weeks (1/22). Frost events have been consistent for the past 3 weeks. Site was again stirred up by ducks.

The date I wrote on the report sheet is inaccurate. It was done on 1/10, not 1/9.

There were a lot of mallard ducks in this portion of the creek, so the water was churned up a bit at the time of testing. The last precipitation was 3 days prior, noted above. Surrounding right of ways (Village of Downers Grove and DuPage County) had salted extensively for that event, though I don't believe there was not enough snow to have much of any runoff affecting this waterway. Village of Westmont did minimal to no salting in this area. Multi-day rain events are forecasted for the coming 10 day forecast.
